"Major kudos to the service department and in particular, Cornelius, the service writer who handled the work being done on my bike. I am about to embark on my first long road trip and brought in my 2008 Softail Custom to get it road ready. I showed up 15 minutes before closing time on a Friday to pick up my bike and the inner tube in one of the new tires had a leak and needed to be replaced. Instead of being told they were closing for the day, Cornelius recruited one of the mechanics who had already punched out for the day and the guy said he would stay and make the repair. I am sure these guys would have liked to get a start on their weekend but they both stayed well past closing time so I could have my bike for a ride planned on Saturday morning. This is the kind of service that makes me proud to say I am a customer of Dudley Perkins, I didn't buy my bike there, (I bought it pre-owned through a private party), but I am made to feel like I did whether it is in the service, parts or motorclothes departments. "My name is Greg Macdonald, my Friend Scott Rosenberg and I toook a road trip up to San Francisco the weekend after Christmas 2014. Just outside of Monterey my friends battery cable snapped on his 2010 Heritage, we had his bike towed 75 miles to your dealership and were greated by you excellent staff, they repaired his bike and got us back on the road very quickly. The following day, a Sunday, we were just North of Stinson Beach when my friend picked up a screw in his rear tire and got a flat. I called your dealership and to my amazement your service department was open and you had a mechanic on duty, something I had never seen in my 25yrs of being a Harley owner. Your service writer remembered us from the day prior and assured us he woould get back on the road as soon as possible. after another tow to your dealership your mechanic did indeed get us back on the road very quickly, and noticing my friends front tire was a bit worn recommended replacing that as well which he did. Unfortunately I don't remeber the names of the gentleman that helped us but both your mechanic and service writer were incredibly nice and helpful. Having a dealership with a mechanic on duty on a Sunday was truly a trip saver for us, I want to commend you on your employees and your dealership. Everyone was very nice and had a definate family feel when we walked through your door, and we enjoyed that you encourage your employees to bring their dogs to work, it definately added to the amoshphere. "I have been to this dealership several times. Their parts team is top shelf. I have had several occassions where I wasn't sure of the part I needed they were more than happy to take the time to make sure I got the right part and also made sure that I knew how to install it even if it was a simple part. I called the service department and there was an on duty tech to help trouble shoot my problem over the phone. I have had nothing but great experiences with the parts department and service department. I am looking to purchase a touring bike soon and I will not even consider looking anywhere else except at Dudley Perkins. If the buying experience is anyhting like the rest of my experiences I am sure it will be as smooth as the Electroglide I want to buy. " Four years ago I bought my 2007 Black Cheery Pearl Road Glide at Dudley Perkins , and it has been a wounderful historical experience being part of a great family such as this one here, from Gram, to Irish all have treated me, my family, and my friends so great, I live in San Jose CA 50 miles south of Frisco, and my #1 mechanic that I only trust is Bruise from Horse Power Express in Campbell CA, he to me is one of the top three masters mechanics in the "HARLEY DAVIDSON WORLD", his advice is gold to me, and I always listen to what he has to say, recently my brother in-law Prim crashed his Harley Road Glide, we asked Bruise if he could look at it, but Bruise was so book'it with so many bikes it was to hard to pencial us in, then Bruise, and his wife Sharon recommened Frisco Harley, talk to Irish he'll take care of you, so with Bruise's advice we went to Frico, off the bat Irish handled the situation, his crew took care of my brother in-laws bike, we new it was in good hands, Talk is cheap, but Frisco Harley takes care of there Family, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE Jesse Alvarez"

"Following up on a complaint I entered here yesterday. Awesome response time. Irish just called to clarify that he did not suggest cutting the bars, but suggested cutting a panel underneath the ignition knob. I explained to him that LeAnne has said explicitly that he recommended cutting the bars, so I guess we had a big misunderstanding on what he explained to her, and then how she explained it to me. Anyway, Irish called first thing this morning and explained what he recommended doing, and I am going to come in and see exactly what he means before anything is done. I appreciated the clarification, and appreciated that he wasn't too defensive with me for the complaint. Hope this gets through the same channels so whoever called him out yesterday will compliment him today. "

"I just had an extremely disturbing service experience of the kind that makes customers never come back. I bought my 2010 CVO Street Glide at Dudley's a little over a year ago. Graham was awesome throughout the sales process, and Tom even came out to greet me and thank me for the biz. The only reason a docked a star from sales was that I had a list of dozens of accessories, and some of them turned out not to fit (due to features of the specific model). No big deal, P&A was great about returning those items and I spent the credit on other stuff. P&A have been knowledgeable and helpful every time. Service was great when they did the free first service, and LeAnne found a bubble in the chrome and got that replaced no problem. So, at around 12,000 miles, I start hearing noise in the primary, and it turns out to be the compensator, a known problem with this model. My key also recently started sticking in the ignition (not the knob, just the key in the knob). So LeAnne calls and says Irish says my Chubby bagger bars are too fat and have to be CUT to make room for the ignition knob. I told her I'd call her back and got on the phone with the highly experienced cvo specialist who installed the bars (Jim, metal dragon) and he railed, explaining two very easy adjustments that can be done (rubber bushings and fairing bolts). When I called back LeAnne said "okay I'll tell him" before I even finished the sentence - like she this was BS and knew exactly what the proper fix was. Like Irish or someone had pressured her to try to gouge me, and she was relieved I called back informed and declined the unnecessary and destructive service. It is unfortunately a standard that dealer service departments try to do unneeded work to make an extra buck, but trying to do something destructive like compromising the structural integrity of my handlebars is downright scandalous. I will not be able to trust the crew downstairs in the future. "

I had DP change out my wheels and install new tires, give me a 10,000 mile service, and new brake and clutch levers, and the bottom line is the bike is amazing to look at and ride. Your Shop let me do my own 10,000 mile bike service using your shop & tools above store on a Sat. Bought my parts & oils needed & you guys let me use your shop, as I have been wrenching on my own bikes for 25 years at that time. You even stamped my H-D warranty service book! I truly loved the old original 1914 building & the old parking garage type ramp up & down to service area. Owner even came up & unlocked gated area upstairs & showed me all of the vintage bikes. Was Awesome! I bought a lot of t-shirts & memrobilia & you shipped it to my home for FREE. One of best experiences of my life. You had lots of old no longer made H-D items back then. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU STILL HAVE THE OLD SCHOOL TYPE H-D PAINTERS CAPS MADE FROM THE SUPER THIN CANVAS MATERIAL? THOUGHT YOU MAY ONE TUKED AWAY OR IN BACK ROOM? THE MATERIAL IS ABOUT TWICE AS THICK IN NEW PAINTERS CAPS. OLD ONES WERE GREAT FOR VERY HOT WEATHER. OLD PAINTERS CAPS HAD STRAP & BUCKLE ADJUSTER FOR ADJUSTING SIZE IN BACK (not velcro). "On July 7th of this year, our group from Arkansas vistited Dudley-Perkins and what happened while there is unbelieveable. A couple of our bikes needed service, one for pipes and the other for work on the CB. It was going to be a couple of hours of down time for us with nothing to do. I spoke to the owner, whom at the time I dont know who he was. He offered to take our group to catch the Bart Train into the city and to pick us up when we returned from the city. Our group was totally excited about getting to see the city but we were concerned about leaving all our belongings on the bike. The owner was such a gracious man,he told us to park our bikes in the back and he would make sure no one bothered our bikes and belongings. He arranged for two vans to transport us to the Bart, and when we returned he had the same people waiting for us at the station. You talk about customer service, well this dealership and all the people working there go way beyound any other dealership we have ever vistited on our trips. The service department did a fantastic job on the bikes, the employees inside were extremley friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you Dudley-Perkins for making our day at your Dealership and giving us the opportunity to visit the city of San Francisco. "I'm glad Harley has made an attempt to build a sport bike, the XR1200 is a good handling motorcycle and the brakes are better than expected, I have kept my Japan based sport bikes but the Harley has proven to be a fun sport bike as well, please continue to refine the XR1200 and dont lose focus on the handling and performance will come over to Harley as I did.
